Focus on fuel cell engine technology and exploration of industrialization mode
April 21, the fourth session of the second International Conference on internal combustion engines, which will be held in Jinan, specially set up a special field for
fuel cell engines, and invited more than 20 scholars to carry out multi-dimensional discussions on such important topics as innovation mode and industrialization path of domestic
fuel cells, key technologies of fuel cells, and development trend of
fuel cell vehicles.
In recent years, the
fuel cell technology with
hydrogen as the main energy, as an important technical route under the background of "carbon peak, carbon neutralization", has entered the fast lane of development. In early 2018, China's
hydrogen energy and
fuel cell industry innovation strategic alliance led by the state energy investment group and participated by State Grid Corporation and other central enterprises was established. From 2019 to 2021,
hydrogen energy has been written into the government work report for many times. It can be seen that the central government and local governments have promoted the development of
hydrogen energy and
fuel cell technology to the national strategic level.
At the same time, the development and promotion of
fuel cell vehicles, especially the commercial application in the field of commercial vehicles, are widely concerned by industry experts. In 2020, the notice on developing demonstration application of
fuel cell vehicles jointly issued by four national ministries and commissions proposes that promoting the development of medium and heavy truck
fuel cell vehicles in the commercial vehicle industry is the key direction in the future.
In addition, at the technical level, with the increasing progress of material science, manufacturing technology and assembly technology, improving power density and durability and reducing cost have gradually become an important trend of large-scale and industrial development of fuel cells.
Fuel cell durability and cost control have become the main bottleneck to restrict the commercialization of
fuel cell vehicles. In terms of stack life, the adaptability of core components to working conditions, the uniformity of stack flow field design, and the consistency control of stack integration process have a great impact on stack life from the aspects of core materials, mechanical structure and process engineering; in terms of engine, good system matching and integrated control are the premise to ensure the efficient and reliable power generation of stack under complex and changeable working conditions In terms of industry, the only way to reduce the cost of
fuel cell is to build up a scale, which is driven by demand and sustainable technology iteration. Therefore, at the
fuel cell sub venue, experts and scholars will share technology and think in terms of
fuel cell core materials, stack assembly development and life test,
fuel cell innovation mode, standardized management and industry development.
At present, the iterative progress of
fuel cell technology is fast, but there are still many problems to be solved in the industry. For a long time in the future, in the field of commercial vehicles, the emission upgrading of internal combustion engine is still the focus of energy conservation and emission reduction in the industry. At the same time, we need to see the rapid development of modern technology such as
fuel cell, and apply it to the power system of commercial vehicles, constantly coruscating new vitality.
